Luristan "Master of Animals" Bronze Figurine
Luristan cast bronze "Master of Animals" standard depicting a human confronted by two animals. These early iron age sculptures are often found in the Lorestan Province and Kermanshah in western Iran. Though the people to whom they belonged remain unclear, they may relate to Iranians or the modern Lur people.
Height: 7 1/4 in x width: 2 1/4 in x depth: 1 3/4 in.
Condition: The item is in fair condition with no major dents, cracks, or losses that would affect the overall work. All parts are present. As expected from the material that the item is made of, there is heavy oxidation throughout. Wear to the stand. No visible sign of restoration under UV light.
