Hasui Kawase "Akayuku Fuji" Shin-hanga Print
Hasui Kawase (Japanese, 1883-1957). Modern Japanese shin-hanga woodblock print titled "Akayuku Fuji" or "Daybreak on Mount Fuji, " depicting the famous volcano tinted pink and purple by the rising sun. Marked in the plate with Kawase's seal along the lower right. Marked in the right margin with the Watanabe publishing company's D seal, indicating the print was published between 1931-1941. With a further Japanese inscription to the left margin.
