"A great reward from Heaven... 'Let us go and welcome Shabbat, for it is the source of blessing.'"
A remarkable letter from the Mara d'Ara DeYisrael , the esteemed Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss of blessed memory, Av Beit Din of Jerusalem, regarding the obligation to install a generator for Shabbat.
An extraordinary letter, from the depths of the pure heart of Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss, Av Beit Din of Jerusalem, discussing the obligation to install a generator for Shabbat, and that all expenses incurred for this are considered "Shabbat expenses that are reimbursed."
"...The question was raised whether it is necessary to arrange for a generator for Shabbat. I am replying that it is certainly necessary, so as not to use electricity operated by Jews on the holy Shabbat, Heaven forbid. The opinion of many great rabbis is that it is forbidden to use such electricity... Even though it costs money, it is clear that this is considered Shabbat expenses, for which there is no loss. On the contrary, one merits the reward of guarding Shabbat... he will merit great reward from Heaven... 'Let us go and welcome Shabbat, for it is the source of blessing.'"
A marvelous letter, full of the sanctity of Shabbat, written in his holy handwriting and signed!
1 page, on his letterhead, very good condition.
