Rare! Receipt of the Sukkat Shalom Yeshiva of the Tzaddik Rabbi Eliyahu Greiditzer - with the Handwritten Signature of Rabbi Yaakov Mordechai Hirschenson, the Right-Hand Man of the Greiditzer - Jerusalem, 1870
Unique receipt, by one of the early printeries of Jerusalem, of the Sukkat Shalom Yeshiva founded by the Tzaddik wonder-worker Rabbi Eliyahu of Greiditz. The receipt is addressed to a disciple of rabbi Akiva Eiger, the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Landsberg and is signed by the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yaakov Mordechai Hirschenson - Jerusalem, ca. 1870.
The receipt was printed in the lifetime of the Tzaddik Rabbi Eliyahu of Greiditz and he is referred to with the title: "מו"ה אלי' נ"י הגאב"ד דק"ק גרידץ יע"א". It was sent in 1874. Rabbi Eliyahu of Greiditz passed away in 1875; thus, the receipt was printed during the years 1873-1874.
This receipt was sent to the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Landsberg "ויעמוד להנ"ל הכל כפי שנדפס בהתקנות שנעשו מאת הגאון החסיד מו"ה אלי' נ"י הגאב"ד דק"ק גרידץ יע"א לזכות גדול בחיי עוה"ז ובחיים הנצחיים האמתיים על ידי חיזוק בלימוד התורה הקדושה בעיר הקודש ירושלם תובב"א".

The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Mordechai Hirschenson (1816?-1889) was born in Lithuania. In 1850, immigrated to Eretz Yisrael and settled in Safed, where he established a small yeshiva. In 1859, he moved to Jerusalem where he established, together with the Tzaddik rabbi Eliyahu Guttmacher, the Tzaddik of Greiditz, the Chatzer Hirschenson of the Old City, with the Sukkat Shalom yeshiva in its center, geaded by Rabbeinu. The yeshiva dedicated a considerable amount of time to studying Kabbalah. Author of Sefer Dvar hashmitah, Kedushat Ari, Einot Mayim and more.
The Gaon Rabbi Moshe Landsberg (1801-1884) a descendant of the author of Yesod Yosef. Was a close disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Akiva Eiger and served as a Dayan at his Beit Din in Posna. In the book Igrot Sofrim there is a famed picture depicting Rabbi Akiva Eiger walking in Posna with Rabbeinu by his side.
