Rare! Bibliographically Unknown: Kuntres Chessed VeEmet with Coupons for Buying a Grave on the Mount of Olives - Jerusalem, 1903

Kuntres Chessed VeEmet "By the Gaon Rav Gabai and the managers of the Gomlei Chessed shel Emet Chevra Kaddisha of the Ashkenazic Kollelim, residents of Vilna... Shomrei Hachomot from Hungary... Holland and Deutschland and America...". The press of haRin Levi and Co. Jerusalem, 1903. 22 pp. [4] leaves. Some stains and small tears. Very good overall condition.

Extremely rare Kuntres, which to the best of our knowledge, is bibliographically unknown, does not appear in varied public libraries (except for a single known copy of the Lubavitch Library) and has never been seen in auctions (it should not be confused with a Kuntres with a similar title that was published in 1891 in Jerusalem - its content is altogether different).

The Kuntres was apparently sent abroad to persuade the Jews of the Diaspora to purchase a grave in Jerusalem. The Kuntres contains a partial copying from Sefer Chessed VeEmet by the Maggid of Vilkomir, Kol Koreh by the rabbis of the Chevra Kaddisha headed by Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Baharan, the Admor Rabbi David Zvi Shlomo Biderman of Lelov and more. Approbation and request by Rabbi Shmuel Salan and Maran the Aderet. The 4 leaves at the end of the Kuntres  "נוסח שטרי קבלות הניתן מאת המאסף לפי שעה ליד הקונה הנומער עד אשר יושג קבלה מאת גבאי ח"ק".
