Section II of the Mishnayot containing Sifrei Nezikim, Kodashim and Taharot, "with an elucidation of the foreign words", edited by the Gaon Kabbalist Rabbi Yisrael Isser, Rav of Strasburg, son of the Gaon Rabbi Elyakim Av Beit Din of Hildesheim. Baragadin Press, Venice, 1705. "Elucidation of the foreign words" alphabetically ordered. The letters א-ח were printed at the end of section IV (Nezikim). Letters ט-ע were printed at the end of section V (Kodashim) and letters פ-ת at the end of section VI (Taharot). First title page for the entire volume and two additional title pages at the beginning of Sifrei Kodashim and Taharot. Printed after Seder Taharot is the prayer of Eliyahu Hanavi and following it, a Techinah said in Eretz Yisrael. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection. 


[1], 234-328, [1], 330-416, [1], 418-536 leaves. 

Moth perforations adn damage. Stains and aging blemishes. Detached sheet. Trimmed edges affecting the headings of some leaves. Missing text was completed by hand intwo leaves. Ancient leather binding, detached. Good overall condition. 


Rabbi Yisrael Isser (Isserlish) was a Rav and Kabbalist, the son of the Kabbalist Gaon Rabbi Elyakum Getz who was Av Beit Din of Rosh Yeshiva of Hildesheim. Was a descendant of the Rema, after which he was named. Served as Rav of Strasburg, immigrated to Jerusalem and then moved to Venice, where he published basic books including a Siddur, Machzor, Shisha Sidrei Mishnah and more. At the end of his life, returned to Eretz Yisrael, settling in SAfed where he was killed on Kiddush Hashem.
