Approbations by the Geonim of Ashkenaz: the author of the Nodah BiYehuda Av Beis Din of Prague, Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Av Beit Din of Berlin, Rabbi Yekutiel Katz and more. Dark ink stains on the margins of a gathering of leaves. Moth damage and perforations. Stains. Fair overall condition.
On the title page, a lengthy dedication to the Churvat Yehudah Hachassid Synagogue handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Zubdel of Salant with full handwritten signature: "למען יהי' לזכרון על טוב יזכר שמו בירושלים רשמתי שמו לזכר עולם נדבה מהמופלג מוהר"ר אלי' אהרן נ"י מק"ק ווילנא למדרש מנחם ציון ר"ח אדר תר"יוד נאם יוסף זונדל מסלאנט". On the upper part of the title page, an identical dedication in Sephardic script (known as Rashi script) apparently, also handwritten by him.
