Sefer Mateh Asher—first edition, Salonika 1748. Mizrahi notes.
Mateh Asher, a work on four subjects: Halachic tshuvot; the Rambam; Rabbeinu Yerucham; and drashot on parshiyot. By Rabbi Asher ben Emmanuel Shalem. First edition. [2], 8, 166 leaves. Binding is partially detached, the spine is separated, stains, worming damage to a group of pages, overall good condition.
The title page has a signature in Mizrahi script: “Yaakov Becher Shmuel s”t.” The body of the work has a number of long and impressive notes featuring identical handwriting to the signature. The owner’s identity was not investigated thoroughly, though he appears to be the writer of the notes. Solutions can be found for interested customers.
