Letter signed by the Gaon Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank, rabbi of Jerusalem, about support for Yeshivat Kamanitz. Shvat 1960.
Letter on official letterhead, typewritten, from 17th of Shvat 1960, in which Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank asks for support for the Kamanitz Knesset Beit Yitzhak yeshiva, and to help the leaders and administrators of the yeshiva “for whom the expenditures required of them is too great to bear, lend a hand – help this Beit Mikdash Me’at, so that it can return and flower again, and fulfill its duty in raising up its students.” He ends with a blessing for the donors and signs by hand. Folds at the bottom, excellent condition.
Gaon Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank (1874-1961) was a great posek of his generation, a founder of the Chief Rabbinate and served as Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi of Jerusalem between 1936-1961.
