Malka Beer 'Women Heroines' with Or Yogev

Malka Beer in collaboration with the artist Or Yogev present the Independence Day 2024 edition. The edition is entirely dedicated to the heroic women who fought and commanded in the field, on the home front and at home.

The edition was illustrated by the artist Or Yogev who burst into our consciousness thanks to his illustrations that conquered the media from October 7.

The edition is no longer available and is being sold as a collector's item. You can enjoy the drink and it is valid until March 2025.

The morning of October 7 caught the illustrator Or Yogev in front of the Telegram. "Of all the horrors that went on there, there was one image, of a mother and her two babies being kidnapped to the Gaza Strip, that really stuck in my head and made it clear to me that we are in a different situation than anything we have known until now, " he says. "When I approached to illustrate this situation, it was clear to me that it should be something very simple and symmetrical, that would be memorable and not overly sophisticated, because people should look at it and understand the image directly and be emotionally activated, as happened to me - to see a clear image and shudder from it." Or Yogev illustrates the Iron Swords War and presents a different model of heroism. His illustrations have appeared on almost every platform, including in the news in Israel and around the world, and especially the illustration of Shiri Bibas and her two young children who are kidnapped in Gaza.

Or graduated from Bezalel and is currently an illustrator at the wix company, originally from Kibbutz Dan which is on the northern border. The members from the kibbutz call him "Shabi". Or usually uses social networks for the benefit of presenting his works, and these days a war series is emerging in them that is difficult to remain indifferent to.
