Neta Canfi (1976) paints man-made nature.
Sometimes these landscapes are mixed or collide with wild nature, creating strange sights.
She goes outside to paint in oil or gouache, and uses her twenty years of experience as an animator to depict movement and story in one single frame or in series of paintings.

Flying in gliders without an engine she has another perspective on the world, and from there she practices drawing from memory.
The sights and colors of the desert in Be'er Sheva, the grass of southern England, the stones in Jerusalem, the concrete in Tel Aviv, and the agricultural environment of Givat Ada appear in her works in patterns of shapes in which the human presence shapes the landscape.
As a Beer Sheva native, she was privileged to study for 12 years at the city's youth arts center, from where she continued to the notice of the country as an education economist, and for the animation department in Bezalel.
The Gross Gallery of the late Naomi Shalu in Tel Aviv was an incubator for the development of new directions.
At a time when Neta was mainly engaged in digital animation and working in front of the computer screen, Naomi's encouragement to create stabilizers and work with physical material and space became a deep source of inspiration, present in her work to this day.
Neta lives and creates in Givat Ada, where the view from the parking lot is also worth painting.
