Books of Kabbalah – Arba Me’ot Shekel Kesef / Pirkei Heichalot / Magen David
Rare Kabbalah books printed in Russia-Poland:
1. Arba Me’ot Shekel Kesef, Rabbi Chaim Vital. Korets, 1804. First edition.
The Hassidic edition – including approbations by Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev and Rabbi Yehudah Leib from Valtshisk. [The approbation of the Ga’on Rabbi Chaim from Volozhin, “disciple of the great rabbi, the Hassid from Vilna” was omitted from this edition]. However, in the preface it is mentioned that Rabbi Chaim from Volozhin initiated and encouraged the printing of this edition. [There are copies in which this introduction was altered as well, see: “H. Lieberman, “Siani”, 70, pages 171-176, and “Ohel Rachel” part one, pages 127-131].
On page 2A, signature of Rabbi “Zvi Hirsch son of Rabbi Chaim Leib Feigenbaum from Tarna” [brother of Rabbi Meir Feigenbaum, son-in-law of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Lazar from Strizov author of “Sova Smachot”]. Many corrections and glosses in handwriting similar to that of the signature.
Stamps of Rabbi Refael Zilberman Av-Bein-Din of Safed and Rabbi Avraham Leib Zilberman Av-Beit-Din of Safed.
