Sefer Teshu’ot Chen – Łaszczów
Sefer Teshu’ot Chen, Hassidic novella on the Torah “delightful to G-D and righteous people”, by Rebbe Rabbi Gedalyahu [Rabinowitz] of Leńce. [Łaszczów?], [1816?].
Title page contains erroneous listing of year 1761. Location of print omitted.
Reverse side of title page contains approbation by Rabbi Levi Yitzcahk of Berditchev, who wrote that the book is on “unperceivable matters”, and in the publisher’s preface he notes in his name that “many people did not understand the intent of the author because of its great depth”.
[4], 24, 27-38 leaves. 23.5 cm. Copy on blue paper. Good condition. Some stains. Old binding.
Stefansky listing of books of Hassidism, no. 642. This edition is similar to the 1816 Berditchev edition, and is apparently the second edition and not the first. See Bibliography Institute CD record 0166092.
