"Hebrew - A Gate to the Country / A Bridge to the People", a poster on behalf of the General Organization of Workers in Eretz Israel (Histadrut) / Tel Aviv-Jaffa Labor Council. Strod and Sons Printing Press, Tel Aviv, [ca. 1947]. Design: Moshe Vorobeichic. Hebrew.
A poster promoting Hebrew classes. An illustration of an open book shaped as a gate; on the other side is Palestine - boats afloat at sea and a tractor plowing the ground. Above the book pages is the inscription "Learn Hebrew".
69.5X50 cm. Good condition. Folding marks and creases. Restored tears and damage (with some color substitutions in a number of places). Linen-backed for display and preservation.
