Arbaa Turei Even, novellae on the Rambam, responsa, selections from the Talmud and homiletics, by R. Elazar Rokeach, rabbi of Brody and Amsterdam. Lviv: R. Shlomo Yarish Rappaport, [1789]. First edition.
Many stamps of R. Yerucham Fishel Perla in Hebrew and Polish (most are indistinct), and three scholarly glosses in his handwriting, one of them particularly lengthy.
R. Yehuda Yerucham Fishel Perla of Warsaw (1846-1934), tremendous Torah scholar in Poland and Jerusalem. Renowned for his masterpiece on Sefer HaMitzvot by R. Saadia Gaon.
[1], 28; 15; 13; 12 leaves. 22 cm. Fair-good condition. Stains. Worming affecting text, repaired with paper. Many stamps. Old, damaged binding, partially detached.
