Charity Box of a Chevra Kadisha, Pewter – Przemyśl, Poland, 1827
Charity box made of pewter (marked). Germany, the early 19th century.
The charity box was made of a large cup of beer. Engravings of hands on the lid and of four members of the Chevra Kadisha during a funeral on the side with an inscription: C"K DK"K Przemyśl 5587".
Przemyśl is a city in Galicia, today in south-east Poland.
Height: 28 cm. Diameter: 14 cm.
Condition: Very Good.
