Letter by Rabbi Avraham Yechezkel Arlozorov Av Beit Din of Kharkov to Rabbi Shmuel Salant - 1889
In the letter, rabbi Arlozorov writes: "I run away from controversy to the end of the world and I am a Rodef Ve'Ohev Shalom". He refers to the controversy regarding the money that the Jews of Kharkov donated to Kollel Chabad in the Land of Israel.
On the reverse side of the leaf, a letter by Rabbi Yitzchak Dov, the Gabai of Kollle Chabad, to Rabbi Shmuel Salant, describing the controversy from his point of view.
Rabbi Avraham Yechezkel Arlozorov (died in 1900), was of the greatest rabbis in Russia and a prominent Hassid Chabad. He was related to the Rebbes of Chabad, Lubavitch and Kapust.
