BOTERO FERNANDO: (1932- ) Colombian Artist, best known for his exaggerated volume sculptures he is the most recognized and quoted living artist from Latin America. His name is at the base of the style known as ''Boterismo''. A good A.L.S., `Fernando´, two pages, on two sheets, 4to, n.p., 10th May 1968, to Herbert [Bucholz]. Botero, in a bold black large writing, states in part `I received your two letters with the very exciting news about the show and your friends buying my paintings. It´s great!´ further saying `It is a pity we are not in Munich now with so many exciting things are happening to my paintings.´ With two binder holes to the left border not affecting the signature.
