VAN DONGEN KEES: (1877-1968) Dutch-French painter. A brief A.L.S., Van Dongen, one page, 4to, Villa Said, [Paris], n.d., to a friend, on attractive stationery featuring a printed image by Van Dongen of a donkey with a large, striking eye to the upper half, in French. The artist thanks his friend for their kind words and enquires as to why he never visits Villa Said on a Sunday, in a postscript remarking 'Venez un dimanche ou un de ves jours. J'ai des choses a vous demander' (Translation: 'Come on a Sunday or one of your days. I have things to ask you'). VG
