Antique natural amber beads in shades of red for a large necklace - 19th century or earlier.
26 hand-carved beads in various colors and shades, most of them in a dark, cherry red shade. Beads of various sizes, for a graduated necklace/rosary towards the center.
Some beads have scuffs, blemishes and light chips.
Weight: 87 grams
Diameter of beads: largest 2.5x1.4 cm. Smallest 2x1 cm.
The item has been in the seller's family since at least 1887. The last photo is of the seller's great grandmother wearing the necklace, the photo is dated 1887 on the back.
