11 WWII US AIR FORCE NOSE ART PHOTOS
Set of eleven photographs from WWII showing the nose art painted on American planes used during the war, approx. 4 x 4.75 inches. The images show scantily clad or nude women painted on the side of various airplanes with names such as 'Miss Carry', 'The Butcher's Daughter', 'Southern Comfort', or 'Our Gal Sal'. Some planes in the images have bomb and swastika decals on the nose, indicating number of bombs dropped or kills. Some images have captions on verso indicating previous owners or dating the image to May 1945. Very good.
