Levin Kipnis - 'Happy New Year' copy with dedication and signature of author

'Happy New Year' by Levin Kipnis. On the title page, Kipnis's handwritten dedication and signature: Kipnis: "To Motti have a sweet new year. l. Kipnis".

Children's book describing children illustrating Happy New Year's cards. Printed together with "Our Sukkah" on Sukkot.

"In his rich children's work, all the history of children's literature in Eretz Israel is embodied, from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present day. The title "one of the creators of children's Hebrew literature" is not only a mark of recognition, but a fact. Thousands of poems and stories, plays, riddles, and study chapters Kipnis wrote... Kipnis  was the first Hebrew author to write preschool stories in a simple and natural language - stories that the mother and the preschooler can read to toddlers without having to simplify their style when reading "[Uriel Ofek Hebrew Children's Literature 1900-1948 part II] .

Kipnis' work spans some 800 stories, 600 poems and about 100 children's books. His writing is characterized by a light and joyous style, devoid of pathos and at the same time rich in aesthetics. Kipnis often wrote children's songs for the holidays due to the lack of songs for ceremonies and activities in schools and kindergartens.

[16] p. Good condition.
