Adolf Hitler and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion - an important publication against the anti-Semitic libel in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion". Paris, 1938 - first edition

Adolf hitler et les protocoles des sage de sion - Adolf Hitler and The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Rare publication attacking the antisemitic libel "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" shortly before the outbreak of World War II, by Ruben Blank. Paris, 1938 - First edition. French.

The author opens with background on the antisemitic forgery "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" from the days of the Russian Czar, in which it was claimed that representatives of the Jewish people held a meeting where the basic principles were set on how to take over the world. After thorough investigation and meticulous examination he shows how the libel of the "Protocols" is aimed not only against international Jewry, but its purpose is to undermine the Western democracies as such, and the foundations of the modern state. The purpose of the Protocols is to entrench racism as a primary concept among the peoples of Europe and to instill in their minds that the idea of the totalitarian state is rooted in human nature, not in unrestrained brutality. The author exposes one by one the lies that appear in the "Protocols", and verifies them with realistic data in the context of the Jewish people and their "plans". He explains what the "Nordic" race is, its origin, and shows the internal contradictions in the writings of the Nazi theory leaders. A significant part of the book analyzes the propaganda techniques used by the Nazis through the idea of "mass antisemitism" - the use of external expressions that define the "foreign" and "different" Jew as such because he is so without any need for justification or explanation, but according to external characteristics and discriminatory laws that determine reality - defamatory posters, caricatures, separation in seating arrangements and entrance to entertainment venues, etc., which were intended to create a sense of disgust and fear towards Jews among the peoples without any rational basis. He also explains the blow that modern antisemitism suffered in the Dreyfus trial and the Beilis trial, and shows how its ideologues tried to reinvent it by reviving the libel of the "Protocols" - if the Jew cannot be accused through court hearings, the propagandists moved on to accuse the Jew in the form of a hidden plot, which in any case cannot be proven legally. Despite their attempt to move on to "mystical" lines in creating the "Protocols", they suffered another blow in the Berne trial held in Switzerland in 1935 which banned the distribution of the Protocols because they were prohibited abominable material, thus dealing another blow to modern antisemitism.

He further shows the contradictions that appear in the writings of the German publishers themselves regarding the historical source of the Protocols. After the author elaborates on exposing the lies in the Protocols, he concludes that they were forged by the police of Czar Nicholas II as propaganda for Czarism, and were adopted by Hitler and his propagandists in order to justify the extermination of the Jews, and to destroy the political foundations of the civilized nations, especially the Western democracies. Presenting the Jews as conspiring against all the peoples of the world is intended first and foremost to harm the Jews themselves, and subsequently to divert the nations of the world from the democratic path they have chosen since the French Revolution, to dictatorial rule whose purpose is to eliminate the common enemy. And concludes: "It is time to smash this slander."

The introduction to the book on racism and antisemitism by Paul Milioukov, in which he explains the importance of the present work to demolish the antisemitic accusations against the Jews.
