"From the Ruins of Europe Peace upon my Country" - Two Shana Tova Cards - Hebrew combat troops in Europe
Two Shana Tova Cards sent from Hebrew soldiers in Hebrew combat troops in Europe (the Jewish Brigade), mid-1940s.
- Shana Tova Card sent from troop 529 of the Palestine Equipment Company R.E.M.I. - Equipment troops SHOP COY. REME "From somewhere in exile, may you be blessed for the new year", Rosh HaShana Eve 1944. On the back of the card, the sender wrote "from the hospital". On the right is the Star of David. 6x11 cm. Stains. Good condition.
- Shana Tova Card from Troop C, 3rd infantry Battalion, "From the ruins of Europe, be blessed my country!", Rosh HaShanah Eve 1945, "Year of Redemption and Consolation". 10x7 cm. Stains on the lower part. Good condition.
