Megilat HaHistadrut / Vienna - Moshe Vorovichik

* Megilat HaHistadrut, by M. Bogdan, published by the Youth Center of the Histadrut in Eretz Israel, Tel Aviv, 1935. Photographs by Moshe Vorobeichic [Raviv]. The book, which deals entirely with the working land of Israel, is decorated with photographs of montage and photo - montage by Moshe Vorobeichic during the peak period of his work in the field of photography. A year earlier, Vorobeichic had immigrated to Eretz Israel and immediately began to apply the photography technique he had learned in Paris, in the service of the Zionist idea. The result - many uncompromising quality photographs heroically depicting the life of the working boy and teenager, in the unique contrasting and double prints style of Voroveitchik, which the best photographers failed to emulate even many years later. 108 pages, 20 cm, few stains on cover. Good condition.

* Vienna by Bracha Habas, published by the Youth Center of the Jewish Workers' Union in Eretz Israel, Tel Aviv [1934]. Important and early publication about Zionist activity in Vienna, the capital of Austria. In the book, there are many photographs in the style of contrasts, photomontage, and the low photography angles, which is typical of Vorobeichic. The name of the photographer in the service of the book does not appear, not in the book, nor is it documented in the bibliographic records. If the assumption is that the photographs were indeed made by Vorobeichic, then here is an important historical discovery. 72 p. 16 cm. Slight tears in spine. Good condition.
