In 1896, the first issue of the central and most important Hebrew periodical in the 19th and 20th Centuries 'HaShiloach', or in the accent of Ahad Ha'am the "Hashelach". Published in the framework of the company "Ahiasaf", financed by Kalonymus Ze'ev Wissotzky, the great tea manufacturer and an avid supporter of Ahad Ha'am who insisted that he be editor-in-chief of the monthly.
