The young pioneer in Pinsk

Three group photographs of members of the HeChaluts haTsa'ir youth movement in Pinsk. 1928-1932.

Two photographs of youth members of the HeChaluts haTsa'ir youth in Pinsk, and a photograph of the Oyerbach family from Pinsk whose daughters were among the Chaluts haTsa'ir.

In 1924, the main bureau of the movement was established near the He - Chaluts Center in Warsaw. The cause of the establishment of the young pioneer was the increase in immigration to Israel during the fourth immigration. The pioneer branches began to deplete and a workforce was needed to maintain the branches. The recognition was formed that pioneers had to be educated among the young people who were not yet qualified to immigrate and who could be in the branches for several years, so that their development and spiritual training could be considered. During its years in 1924-1939, the movement include about ten thousand members.

Two photographs in size: 9x4 cm, and one in size: 16x11 cm. Cracks and stains. general condition good.
