A SMALL ROMAN MARBLE TORSO OF HYGEIA THE GODDESS OF HEALTH
2nd-3rd century CE. The standing goddess is wearing a chiton and is feeding a serpent. Hygeia was the daughter of Esklepius, the god of Medicine and appears on several city coins minted in Israel, such as in Tiberias. In good condition. 9.9 cm high. Ex Dr. Bruno Kirschner collection, Jerusalem.
