Paul Philippe (Polish French sculptor, Paul Philippe 1870–1930) - 'An embalmer on the back of a lioness' - antique bronze statue
Consists of two parts, a speckled black marble base (Nero Portoro Marble) which was inlaid with square and rectangular bronze reliefs (only one survived),
the statue itself is signed, created around 1925, several defects to the edges of the marble base, Some of the bronze decorations on the marble are missing.
Height: 42 cm,
Height of the statue does not include the base: 25 cm,
Base dimensions: 12X25.5 cm.

Twenties (1920-1930)
