African Senufo Kpelie Mask
From Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Mali, made of wood carved with shell pigments and plant fibers

(* Kpelie masks represent the face of an ideal woman. They are part of the male society of the Poro, and their function
has several layers: to exercise political and social control, to transmit traditional knowledge and to be used in religious ceremonies
