Doumas Charalambos (1910-1991) - 'Woman dressed in black'
Antique painting, oil on panel, Greek school, signed: Ch. Doumas, dated: 1937, the board is corrugated cardboard and there is peeling paint and requires restoration, painting dimensions: 50x40 cm, frame dimensions: 61x52 cm.
Charalambos Doumas (Ντούμας Χαράλαμπος) was born in Athens in 1910. He graduated from the School of Fine Arts in 1935 under Spiros Vikatos.
He participated in personal exhibitions in Athens (1935, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1960, 1964, 1975), in Paris (1961) and New York (1962), in group exhibitions of ASKT students as well as in the Archaeological Museum of Piraeus.
His paintings are in the National Gallery and in private collections in Greece, USA and Great Britain.
