Antique African artifact of the Chokwe people
Apparently a whistle.
Made of a carved material, from the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century,

Height: 11 cm.
The Chokwe people, known by many other names (including Kioko, Bajokwe, Chibokwe, Kibokwe, Ciokwe, Cokwe or Budge Badjok), are a Bantu ethnic group from central and southern Africa. They are found mainly in Angola, the southwestern parts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa to Lualba), and the northwestern parts of Zambia.
