The Rebbe Rayatz Wheelchair.
An accompanying letter attests to this Wheelchair being gifted by Shalom Ber Gourary (The Rebbe Rayatz only Grandson) to Rabbi Shaul Shimon Deutsch.
The Rebbe Rayatz had two wheelchairs, one was kept in 770 and the other was somewhat portable for those days. This wheelchair was used for the Rebbe Rayatz when he traveled. It is known The Rebbe Rayatz traveled to Lakewood soon after he arrived in 1940.
In the accompanying picture, The Rebbe Rayatz is escorted in a similar Wheelchair, at the Lubavitcher Yeshiva dinner on March 14, 1943.
