ANTIQUE 19TH C RUSSIAN ICON CHRIST THE FIERY EYE
An antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon representing Jesus in the Burning Eye iconography, a variation of the Lord Almighty type which only shows the shoulders and face of Christ. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board with gilding. Titled in Church Slavonic. Russian Christian Religious Items and Collectibles.
Dimensions
12 1/4 x 10 1/2 in. All measurements are approximate.
Condition
Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and age. Has scuffs and stains. Has chips and cracks in paint and wood. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
