ANTIQUE 19TH C RUSSIAN ICON JOY OF ALL WHO SORROW
An antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon of Mother of God in Joy of All Who Sorrow iconography. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. In this Orthodox iconography, Mother of God is standing with Baby Jesus in the center surrounded by angels and suffering people, the God Father blesses her from heaven. Guardian angel, St. Xenia and St. Matryona are depicted on the borders. Russian Christian Religious Items and Collectibles.

Condition
Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and age. Has scuffs and stains. Has cracks and chips in paint and wood. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
