A pair of Post-WWII East German commemorative gifts awarded by the NVA, National Peoples Army, at the end of military service. First. A color-printed fiber scarf with the GDR national emblem and inscription Fur den Schutz der Arbeiter-und-Bauern-Macht, For the protection of workers and farmers power. Second. A plastic bag with inscription Ehrenvoll bis zum letzten Tag gedient, Served honorably until the last day, and depiction of an NVA soldier jumping over the fence behind which his family is waiting for him.
