RUSSIAN PENCIL CHARCOAL PAINTINGS BY CHERVYAKOV
Nikolay Chervyakov (Russian Soviet, Turkmen, 1924-2003) three sketch pencil and charcoal paintings on paper depicting a pair of small female portraits and a male portrait in profile. One painting is signed and dated 1965 lower right. A pair of paintings are signed and dated 1967 lower left. Nikolay Chervyakov, a Russian and Turkmen artist. In his works, the artist admires the secluded corners of rural streets, a dilapidated church, and old peasant houses. The main part of Chervyakov's work is connected with Turkmenistan, which he traveled far and wide in search of subjects for his paintings. The village of Ulovo became a special and favorite theme of the artist. One of a kind artwork.
