A fine silver wire embroidered Islamic horse cover- Ottoman Turkey - 1750-1800
Comprised of red wool fabric back round with flax under lining . Silver wire embroidery in floral motif. Metallic studs adorn the entire face of the horse cover. Fine silver mesh work throughout the textile. Framed by a embroidered silver ribbon with tassel work.
some stains to the wool, ware to the edges, taring to some elements. Overall condition is good.

*A horse cover like this was often used by the elite of the Ottoman army.
