The Zohar Controversy - Sefer Ben Yochai, by Rabbi Moshe Konitz - Vienna, 1815 - handwritten notes by Rabbi David ben Shimon, known as the Devas"h, and Rabbi Shem Tov Hacohen, author of the Sefer Shem Tov, the head of the rabbinical leadership of the Beit El community in Hebron.

The Book of Ben Yohai. The sayings of Rabbi Shimon bar Yohai in the Babylonian and Jerusalem Talmuds, Tosefta, Mishnah, Sifra and Sifri. With 'Kuntres Ma'anot VeMitpachot', with commentaries and discussions to elucidate his method, and also pointing out the differences in his statements between the period before his entry into the cave, and the period after.
With a separate section entitled 'Ma'anot VeMitpachot' - a refutation of the book 'Mitpachat Sofrim' written by the Gaon Rabbi Ya'akov Emden - in which he wrote that the Zohar had been infiltrated with texts from a later period.
