'A year of livelihood, a year of contentment and pleasure and everything good' - a special letter, a bunch of blessings for a happy new year from Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Perlov of Carlin the 'Detroiter Rabbi' - a nice handwritten letter, written on top of a happy new year letter from The Detroit Rabbi.

A rare and special letter, full of blessings from Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Perlov of Carlin 'the Detroit Rabbi' son of the Rebbe Rabbi Israel Perlov of Stolin known as the Yenuka. One of the greatest righteous men of his generation.

On top of a printed official Happy New Year letter, in which there are many greetings for a happy and decorated New Year.

In his letter, the Rebbe blesses with good health, ample livelihood, and lots and lots of happiness from the children, to be saved by a decent Jewish spouse, complete healing, and that the Lord will affect you with much contentment and happiness.

The Rebbe Rabbi Ya'akov Chaim Perlov (1881 - 1946), son of the Rebbe Rabbi Israel Perlov of Stolin known as the Yenuka. One of the greatest righteous men of his generation. He married Mrs. Hana Chaya. unfortunately they did not bear children.

In 1923 he was called by the Carlin Chassidim from the USA to come to New York and he immigrated there, where they built a synagogue and an apartment for him in Brooklyn, he served as rebbe in the Williamsburg neighborhood. He led the Carlin Chassidim in the USA, who prayed in three synagogues in New York York and another synagogue in the city of Detroit.

Part of his life's work was to spread Judaism in the United States and bring together young people who had abandoned the religion. He founded Torah institutions, was known for his dedication to helping others, and every Shabbat many Hasidic flocked to the 'tish' he organized.

From time to time he visited his followers who were divided into four communities, and every year he stayed for a few weeks with the community of his followers in Detroit in the state of Michigan.

At the beginning of the month of Iyar 5706, when he came to visit his congregation in Detroit, he brought his belongings with him, and suddenly, before he began the Mincha prayer, he returned his soul to his creator. He was buried in Detroit with a large funeral. Because of this, he is known in Carlin Stolin as the "Detroit Rabbi".

במכתבו מברך הרבי, בבריאות, פרנסה בהרחבה, והרבה הרבה נחת מהילדים, להיוושע בזווג יהודי הגון, רפואה שלמה ושהבורא הק' ישפיע עליך רוב נחת ואושר.

האדמו"ר רבי יעקב חיים פרלוב (תרמ"א – תש"ו), בנו של האדמו"ר רבי ישראל פרלוב מסטולין המכונה "הינוקא". מגדולי הצדיקים בדורו. נשא לאישה את מרת חנה חיה. למגינת לב לא זכו להיפקד בפרי בטן.

בשנת תרפ"ג נקרא על ידי חסידי קרלין מארה"ב לבוא לניו יורק והיגר לשם, שם הקימו עבורו בית מדרש ודירת מגורים בברוקלין, וכיהן כאדמו"ר בשכונת וויליאמסבורג. הוא הנהיג את חסידי קרלין בארה"ב, שהתפללו בשלשה בתי-מדרשות בעיר ניו יורק ובית מדרש נוסף בעיר דטרויט.

חלק ממפעל חייו היה להפצת היהדות בארצות הברית וקירב צעירים שנטשו את הדת. ייסד מוסדות תורה, נודע בהתמסרותו לגמול חסדים ובכל שבת נהרו חסידים רבים ל'טיש' שערך.

מעת לעת ביקר את חסידיו שהיו מחולקים לארבע קהילות, וכל שנה שהה במשך כמה שבועות עם קהילת חסידיו בדטרויט שבמדינת מישיגן.

בתחילת חודש אייר תש"ו כאשר הגיע לבקר את קהל עדתו בדטרויט הביא עמו את חפציו, ולפתע טרם החל בתפילת מנחה השיב את נשמתו ליוצרו. הוא נקבר בדטרויט בהלוויה גדולה. בשל כך הוא ידוע בחסידות קרלין סטולין בשם ה"דעטרויטער רבי".
