Likutei Man - Commentary on the Haftarot, by Rabbi Eliezer Menachem Menli. Compiled from the Commentary of Rabbi Moshe Alshich.

On the back of the cover are printed the words of Rabbi Eliezer Menachem Manli: "And I will present here, to know the sake of the size of the reward of this honorable book, its merit and virtue to save the ones who study it from evil decrees of". Then he brings a story about the Alshich, "When the haters surronded the city in the year 5408 [1648]... The Alshich came in a dream and said to him, since you like my books, I have come to you to warn you to stand up and flee for your life at this time because a decree has been passed on the Jews... and he said to me, go out and I will be with you and they will not see you and you will be saved...".

Ancient signature on the cover: "... אנשיל בן כ"ה ליב...". Stamp: "מאיר יונה הירש".

בגב השער נדפסו דברי רבי אליעזר מנחם מנלי: "ואציג פה לדעת גודל השכר הספר הנכבד הלז, מעלתו וסגולתו להציל לומדיה והוגי בה מגזירות רעות רח"ל", ומביא סיפור על האלשיך "כאשר בא יום חרון אף ה' וסבבו השונאים את העיר בשנת ת"ח... האלשיך בא בחלום ואמר לו מאחר שאתה מחבב ספרי שלי באתי אליך להזהירך שתעמוד ותמלט על נפשך בשעה זו כי נגזרה גזירה על היהודים... ויאמר לי צא ואני אהיה עמך ולא יראו אותך ותנצל...".
