Talmud Tractate Nida - the copy of Rabbi Yona Zvi Bernfeld Av Beit Din of Debretsin from the great rabbis of Hungary - Frankfurt, 1738

Inside the cover is a handwritten inscription: "שייך להרב הגאון המאה"ג החריף ובקי ... רבי יצחק צבי בערנפעלד אב"ד ור"מ דקהילת דעברצין".

Additional signatures: "משה זאב אינדיג, גראסווארדיין תרצ"ו לפ"ק", and more.

Rabbi Yona Zvi Bernfeld (1834-1891) was born in the city of Tapaltchan. Studied with Rabbi Shlomo Deitsch Rabbi of Neutra, Rabbi Yehezkel Bennett Rabbi of Neutra, and Rabbi Yeremiahu Lev Rabbi of Ohael, as well as with the 'K'tav Sofer'. During the time he studied at the Pressburg yeshiva, in 1848, he published The Sermons his of Rebbe the 'K'tav Sofer' on Shabat ha'Gadol.

He came in a matchmaking relationship with Esther, the orphaned daughter of the 'Hatam Sofer', but unfortunately she died before their marriage.

He married the daughter of Rabbi David Yehuda Leib HaCohen Diamant of Freistadt.

From the year 1854 he served as the rabbi of the town of Irsha. In the year 1872, he was accepted to serve as the Rabbi of the city of Debretzin.

He authored the book of sermons "Rabbi Yona Zvi", as well as the book "Hidushei Rabbi Yona Zvi"\, and other books. Answers to him are brought in all four parts of the 'K'tav Sofer' responsa.

Good general condition. Original and luxurious leather binding, with remains of buckles. A large volume. Loose pages. The cover page of Tractate Nida is detached. Noticeable wear on the edges of the cover and on the spine.

רבי יונה צבי ברנפלד (תקצ"ד-תרנ"א) נולד בעיר טאפאלטשאן. למד אצל רבי שלמה דייטש אב"ד נייטרא, רבי יחזקאל בנט אב"ד נייטרא ורבי ירמיהו לעוו אב"ד אוהעל, וכן אצל ה'כתב סופר', זכר צדיקים לברכה. בתקופה בה למד בישיבת פרשבורג, בשנת תר"ח, הוציא לאור את דרשת רבו ה'כתב סופר' לשבת הגדול.

בא בקשרי שידוכים עם אסתר, בתו היתומה של מרן ה'חתם סופר', אך למגינת לב היא נפטרה לפני נישואיהם.

הוא נישא לבתו של רבי דוד יהודה ליב הכהן דיאמנט מפריישטאט.

משנת תרי"ד כיהן כאב"ד העיירה אירשא. שנת תרל"ב התקבל לכהן כאב"ד העיר דעברצין.

חיבר את ספר הדרשות "רבי יונה צבי", וכן את הספר "חדושי רבי יונה צבי" על המצוות וסוגיות, וספרים נוספים. תשובות אליו מובאים בשו"ת 'כתב סופר' בכל ארבעת חלקי השו"ת.

מצב כללי טוב-. כריכת עור מקורית ומפוארת, עם שרידי אבזמים. כרך גדול. דפים רופפים. דף השער של מסכת נידה, מנותק. בלאי ניכר בשולי הכריכה ובשדרה.
