The new Ghetto, by Dr. Binyamin Ze'ev (Theodore) Herzl. Warsaw, 1898. Translated by Reuven Breinin.
According to Herzl's biographer, Amos Ailon, this is the best play that Herzl ever wrote. Writing the play led to a dramatic transformation of Herzl in relation to the Jewish question, and pushed him to the idea of establishing the Hebrew state.
