The holy Rabbi Meir Avraham from Tshabe author of the P'ri Tzadik's copy. The close disciple of the Chozeh of Lublin! who sent him to Hungary to spred there the teaching's and ways of Chassidus.

Rav Alfas second volume, Zultsbach edition 1764. The pages of the forerunner have the signatures of great Rabbis, the holy Rabbi Meir Avraham from Tshabe author of the P'ri Tzadik. Rabbi Shmuel Bek Av Beit Din of Shuran and Rabbi Yitschak Landsnerg Av Beit Din of Grosswardein. During the years of his youth, Rabbi Meir Avraham traveled to a place of Torah, and learned from the great Rabbis of the generation, and according to some versions he also had the privilege of serving and standing in the company of the great Rabbi the holy G'ra from Vilna.

He drew most of his teachings from the well of Rabbi Shlomo Halevi of Kellin, author of the Machatzit ha'Shekel, when he studied at his high yeshiva.

After his marriage he continued studying Torah, whike preserving a state of great holiness and excessive celibacy, and in addition to his immense genius at sea the Talmud he began to engage in Kabbalah as well until he gained ten hands in it.

He sat in the shadow of the great tzadikim of the generation students of the holy Baal Shem Tov. He sat by the Holy Chozeh of Lublin for about a year and a half, and there he ascended to high levels of spirituality, until he was one of the chosen students,   he was favored by his holy Rabbi, who sent him to Hungary, to spread the Torah and the way of Hasidism. Even then he would still come to huddle in the shadow of his holy Rabbi from Lublin, "And his honor was great with him whenever he came" (Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich Av Beit Din of Sahmloy)

In 1909 he was accepted as a Rabbi of the Tshabe community, where he served for twenty years.

The holy Rabbi author of the Yishmach Moshe, wrote in praise of the teachings of Rabbi Meir Avraham, and testified about him: "since i know him and i recognized his righteousness". When the Rebbe of Satmar saw this consent from his holy elders he expressed his admiration and said "that it is very uncommon for the Yismach Moshe to write so in agreement, that he writes the title 'tzaddik' on him like five times, a title that was not often written in previous generations".

Rabbi David Deitch, author of the Ohel David, praised Rabbi Meir Avraham, and testified: "I saw that all his deeds are for heaven's sake"!

The great Rabbi author of Be'er Shmuel from Oonsdorf commented on him, that he was an "angel" in the form of a man!

The greatness of his piety and his distance from the pleasures of this world is narrated, that for a time he "did not eat any thing that came from a livivng creature, and for that time he sat in a cave which was outside the city, and studied there day and night, and saw no man from his morning to evening".

The reason for his hiding in the cave was because of an act that was and everyone saw the greatness of his wonders, and since he did not want to be revealed to many as an miracle perfomer, he went and sat in secret, worshiping his Creator without disturbance.

Passed away to the next world in 1809.

His book P'ri Tzadik that printed after his death, includes Chidushim in Halacha and Aggadah on the Shas, and is adorned with the consents of the geniuses of the generation Rabbi Moshe Sofer the Chatam Sofer and Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum the Yishmach Moshe.

תולדותיו בקודש

בשנות בחרותו גלה רבי מאיר אברהם למקום תורה, ולמד מפיהם של גדולי ומאורי הדור, ובהם – לפי כמה מהגירסאות – גם זכה לשמש ולעמוד במחיצת רבינו הגר"א מוילנה.

את עיקר תורתו שאב מבארו של הגה"ק רבי שלמה הלוי מקעללין בעל 'מחצית השקל', כשלמד בישיבתו הרמה.

לאחר נישואיו הוסיף לשקוד על התורה מתוך קדושה מופלאה ופרישות יתירה, ובנוסף לגאונותו האדירה בים התלמוד החל לעסוק גם בתורת הקבלה עד כי זכה בה לעשר ידות.

הוא הסתופף בצלם של צדיקי הדור תלמידי הבעש"ט. ישב בבית מדרשו של החוזה הקדוש מלובלין במשך כשנה ומחצה, ושם נתעלה ברום המעלות, עד שנמנה על בחירי התלמידים בני היכלא קדישא, וחיבה יתירה נודעת לו מרבו הקדוש, והוא אשר שלחו למדינת אוגארין, להפיץ שם את תורת ודרך החסידות. גם לאחר מכן היה בא להסתופף בצל רבו הקדוש מלובלין, "וכבודו היה גדול אצלו בכל עת שבא" (עדות הרש"ז עהרנרייך זצ"ל הי"ד אב"ד שמלוי).

בשנת תקס"ט התקבל לכהן כאב"ד קהילת טשאבע, בה כיהן במשך עשרים שנה.

הגה"ק בעל ה'ישמח משה' כתב בשבח תורתו של רבי מאיר אברהם זיע"א, והעיד עליו: "יען ידעתי והכרתי בצדקת הצדיק". כשראה האדמו"ר מסאטמר זצ"ל הסכמה זו מזקינו הק', הביע התפעלותו ואמר "שזה מילתא דלא שכיחא שהישמח משה יכתוב כך בהסכמה, שכותב שם עליו התואר 'צדיק' כמו חמש פעמים, תואר שלא היו מרבים לכתוב בדורות הקודמים".

רבי דוד דייטש זצ"ל בעל 'אוהל דוד' הפליג בשבחו של רבי מאיר אברהם, והעיד: "ראיתי שכל מעשיו לשם שמים"!

הגה"ק בעל 'באר שמואל' מאונסדורף התבטא עליו, שהוא היה "מלאך" בדמות איש!

על גודל חסידותו והתרחקותו מתענוגי עולם הזה מסופר, שבמשך תקופה מסוימת "לא אכל שום דבר מן החי, ובמשך הזמן ההוא ישב במערה אשר היתה מחוץ לעיר, ולמד שם יומם ולילה, ולא ידע איש משכבו וקומו, עד אשר על פי מעשה נתוודע שהוא שם".

סיבת התחבאותו במערה היתה בגלל מעשה שהיה והכל ראו עזוז נפלאותיו, ומאחר שלא רצה להתגלות ברבים בתור 'בעל מופת', הלך וישב בסתר, לעבוד את בוראו באין מונע (סיפור המעשה הובא בספר 'ויעתר יצחק' עמ' 372).

נפטר בשנת תקפ"ט.

ספרו 'פרי צדיק', שנדפס אחר פטירתו, כולל חידושים בהלכה ובאגדה על הש"ס, ומעוטר בהסכמות מגאוני הדור מרנן ורבנן החת"ם סופר וה'ישמח משה' רבי משה טייטלבוים.

מצב טוב-בינוני. בלאי ניכר בכריכה, עם שברים וחוסר. דף שער ראשון ודף שאחריו מנותקים. נקבי עש מעטים בדפים אחדים. הדפים במצב שמור.
