Penny Coin Given to a Child by the Lubavitcher Rebbe
Coin with a value of 1 cent (penny) given from the hands of the Chaba"d/Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson. Coins distributed by the Rebbe are considered relatively rare. He distributed them mainly to children, including while he was on his way to the Rebbe the Rayya"tz's ohel, so that they would give them to charity.
The Admo"r Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson [1902-1994] was the seventh in the dynasty of Admo"rs of Lubavitch. He served as Admo"r from 1951 until his passing. He was a tremendous gaon in all realms of Torah and his net was - and still is - cast over the entire world.
The coin was issued in 1970. Fine condition.
