The book Shaagat Aryeh with the signature of HaGaon Rabbi Shabtai Katz, Head of the Beit Din, Oralei. Bialistock. [1805]. Single edition. [2], 60 leaves, 31 cm. Book Shaagat Aryeh on Tractate Makkot by HaGaon Aryeh Leib, Head of the Beth Din and Ram (teaching Rabbi) in Zaboldawi and Krink. On the title page of the book is the signature of HaGaon Rabbi Shabbtai Katz, Head of the Beth Din, Oralei, from the year 5566. Recording of owners and additional signatures. HaGaon Rabbi Shabtai Katz (died in 5580) was the Head of the Beth Din of Shenadowa and afterwards the head of the Beth Din of Orloi. His chiddushim together with the chiddushim of his brother were printed in the book Shevet Achim (Vilna 5593). Worn out binding. Stains. Moth damage. A number of rips. In average-good condition.
