Pirkei Avot with commentary of the Vilna Gaon and Derech Avot. Vilna 1836. [2] 6-47, 19.5 cm. Without the additional pamphlet at the end. Ethics of the Fathers with a commentary of the Vilna Gaon and commentary Derech Avot by Rabbi Meir son of Rabbi Avraham, brother of the Gra. Second edition of the Gra’s commentary on Tracate Avot and single edition of the commentary Derech Avot. Rabbi Meir made aliyah from Vilna to Jerusalem in the year 5597 [1837] and died in Israel in 5602 [1842]. He also authored the book Nachalat Avot which was printed in several editions. Also in many of the editions there is not included the pamphlet Likutei Torah, at the end. Rare book. Seal of Rabbi Baruch Eliezer Luria, one of the Rabbis of Riga, Otzar HaRabbanim 4108. Old binding. Time related stains, In good – very good condition.
