The Admo"r of Bohush's Tractate Eruvin

Tractate Eruvin with all the commentators as printed in Slavuta and Vilna. [Lemberg] [1862]. Stamps of the Admo"r Rabbi Yosef Shalom Yosef of Bohush.

Several stamps of the Admo"r appear on the title page.

There is an additional notation from the Kloiz of Bohush.

Rabbi Yisrael Shalom Yosef Friedman [1856-1923], the Admo"r of Bohush, was the son of the Admo"r Rabbi Yitzchak Friedman, the grandson of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin, who was the first Admo"r of Bohush. After his father's passing in 1896, he was appointed to succeed him. However, as long as his brothers remained in Bohush, he refused to conduct himself as Admo"r, except for accepting kvittels. During World War I, he was forced to move to Galicia. He was the president of Kollel Romania and in his time, six synagogues for Bohush Chassidim were built in the Land of Israel, four in Safed, and in Tiberias and in Jerusalem. He established the first yeshivah in the Bohush area, called "Beit Yisrael," which was personally supervised by him.

His Torah thoughts were gathered in the book Pe'er Yisrael

Fine condition. Aging stains. Several leaves are apparently missing.
