Beit Ya'akov. Jerusalem, 1884. Only Edition. With an Attack Against the Admo"r of Radzin. Copy which Belonged to Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld
Beit Ya'akov, divided into two parts. The first part is called "Tosafot Ma'aseh Rav," which is a supplement to what was printed in Ma'aseh Rav - conduct of the Vilna Gaon. The second part contains a commentary on a few mishnahs from seder Taharot and a sharp attack against the book Sidrei Taharot by the Admo"r of Radzin, by Rabbi Baruch Broda. Printed by Yoel Moshe Salomon, 1884.
Handwritten signature by Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnefeld on the title page, and an addition in a different hand: the word "Rabbeinu."
The author writes in his introduction opposing the book Sidrei Taharot by the Admo"r of Radzin, Rabbi Gershon Henich Leiner, in which he disagrees with the Vilna Gaon in his commentary on seder Taharot. The author writes firmly and sharply that it is not enough that the Admor of Radzin cannot disagree with the Vilna Gaon, but he is incapable of even understanding him. Over the course of this work, he refers to the Admo"r as "HaMelaket" and disputes his words.
22 leaves, 18.5 cm. Vinograd, Sifrei HaGR"A 845. Rabbinic owner's signature.
Moderate-fine condition. Aging stains. Detached leaves. Tears without lack in the title page. Not bound.
