Basketball Signed by Basketball Legend Bill Russell
Regulation basketball made by Spalding with Bill Russell's signature on the ball.
Including GAA authentication certificate for the signature.
Bill Russell (b. 1934), one of the greatest basketball players of all time, was a central player leading the Boston Celtics to 11 championships, and a member of the NBA Hall of Fame. Russell, who played center, earned many personal titles including no less than 5 regular season MVPs and 12 appearances in the All-Star games. He is included in the list of the 50 greatest players in the history of the NBA. It was announced in 2009 that the MVP of the finals title would be named for him, and he would be the one to present it to the players. Russell was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011 by US president Barack Obama. He was the inaugural recipient of the NBA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017.
